Who counts as family?
One or two adults plus their dependent children, all living at the same address. Children must be under 18, or under 23 if in full-time education.
Travelling without one parent
Children are covered when they travel with just one of the named adults — useful for half-term breaks and weekends away.
Pre-existing conditions
Each family member's medical history is screened independently. Premiums are only loaded for the family members affected.

Can grandparents take grandchildren on a family policy?+
Standard family cover requires children to be the dependents of the named adults. For grandparent + grandchild trips, we'll quote group cover.
Is school travel insurance included?+
School trips are usually included if a parent organises and pays. School-organised trips often have their own group policy.
What if my partner and I travel separately?+
On a family annual policy, each parent is covered to travel independently with the children.
